Terms & Conditions – CMC Angels Pitch Competition

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the CMC Angels Pitch Competition ("the Competition"), organized by Chief Meta Chicks ("CMC", "we", "our", or "us"). By submitting your application to the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

1. Purpose of the Competition
The CMC Angels Pitch Competition is a business pitch competition aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes that may include promotional support, mentorship, and monetary or in-kind services awards ("Prizes").

2. Fundraising Disclaimer
This Competition is directly tied to a fundraising campaign. All potential Prizes, including any cash or monetary awards, will be funded through the proceeds of product sales, specifically the sale of limited-edition t-shirts and merchandise.

Important:
By entering the Competition, you acknowledge and agree that prizes will only be awarded if sufficient funds are raised through the sale of these products. CMC does not guarantee the awarding of any cash or in-kind prizes unless minimum sales thresholds are met. CMC reserves the right to modify, reduce, or cancel prizes depending on the actual amount of funds raised through the sales of the products.

3. Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the CMC Angels Pitch Competition, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Identify as a woman entrepreneur.
- Submit a complete application form by the specified deadline.
- Be available for the pitch presentation, either live or recorded, as per the schedule provided upon selection.
- Comply with all rules and regulations of the Competition.
CMC reserves the right to disqualify any participant who provides false information or fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

4. Selection Process
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Innovation and uniqueness of the business idea.
- Potential for business growth and scalability.
- Social impact and alignment with CMC’s mission and vision.
- Quality and clarity of the pitch presentation.
Finalists will be selected based on these criteria, and they will be invited to pitch their business ideas to the judges. CMC reserves the right to select the judging panel, and the decisions made by the judges are final.

5. Prize Conditions
Prizes may include cash awards, products, in-kind services, or other forms of promotional support, subject to the available funds from the sales campaign and in-kind services provided by CMC partners and sponsors. The total value, number, and types of prizes will be determined by the net proceeds from the t-shirt sales and other fundraising efforts. If the fundraising campaign does not meet the minimum threshold to cover the prizes, CMC reserves the right to:
- Reduce the value or number of prizes.
- Delay the distribution of prizes until additional funds are raised.
- Replace cash prizes with non-cash prizes of equivalent perceived value.
- Cancel prize distribution altogether.
By entering, you acknowledge that CMC is not liable for any unmet expectations or failure to deliver prizes due to insufficient funds raised.

6. Use of Content & Likeness
By participating in the Competition, you grant CMC the right to use your name, business name, likeness, photos, pitch content, and videos for promotional purposes, including but not limited to, social media, websites, marketing materials, and press releases, without compensation. You retain ownership of your pitch and intellectual property but grant CMC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submitted materials for purposes related to the Competition.

7. Data Collection & Communications
By submitting your application to the Competition, you consent to receiving communications from CMC regarding the Competition, future events, promotional opportunities, and updates. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CMC shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, arising from participation in the Competition, delays, or changes in prize delivery, or the cancellation of the Competition for any reason, including insufficient fundraising.

9. Modification & Cancellation
CMC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, including changes to the structure of the Competition prize allocation, or cancellation of the Competition if necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes via the email provided upon registration.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Victoria. By submitting your application to the CMC Angels Pitch Competition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
